My stay at House Higgo was truly enjoyable, with a beautiful garden and pool area that added to the charm of the place. However, I did face a couple of issues, such as the distance from the airport and some miscommunication regarding my breakfast request.

Rooms
8.5
I found my room to be comfortable and spacious, but it was not the one displayed during booking, which was a bit disappointing. It did come with a handy fridge though, right next to the bed, making it convenient for snacks.
Service
8.8
The service was fantastic, with Beks being especially helpful and friendly throughout my stay (she really was a star!). The staff was attentive, but I felt a bit let down regarding the breakfast arrangement since I had to leave early.
Location

House Higgo is perfectly situated in a serene and secure neighborhood. It's close to a beautiful shopping mall, which made it easy for me to find what I needed during my stay.
Dining
8.2
The dining options were decent, though I wish there had been more choices and better coffee (I prefer fresh brew). The food was good overall, particularly the grilled meat.
Facilities
9.3
The hotel itself is a piece of art, with beautiful gardens and a lovely pool area. It’s clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

My stay at House Higgo was quite nice, with a beautiful garden view and friendly staff, though some aspects of the service could have been better. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, which I appreciated. However, there were some issues with breakfast timing and communication that dampened my experience somewhat.

The Executive Suite was spacious and clean, with a lovely bathroom. I enjoyed sitting outside to watch the sunset, which added a peaceful touch to my stay.
Service

While the staff, especially Beks, were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, there were some communication issues regarding breakfast orders that left me disappointed.

House Higgo is nestled in a beautiful leafy street in Northcliff, making it a lovely spot close to the mall and other places I wanted to visit.

I found the dining experience lacking (especially regarding breakfast timing and options), which was a letdown considering the potential of the place.

7.0/10

My stay at House Higgo was a mix of highs and lows. The location is lovely, surrounded by beautiful gardens, but I encountered some significant issues with the service and facilities. While I appreciated the comfortable bedding, the lack of privacy in the room and dining experience left much to be desired.

Rooms
6.0
The Superior Double Room I stayed in was spacious and clean, but the bathroom had a leaking sink and lacked a door, which compromised my privacy. Additionally, I found that there were no warm blankets to cater for the cold weather, as there is no air-conditioning.
Service
5.0
I experienced poor service during my stay. The manager, Cindy, was unprofessional, and I felt uncomfortable when placing my breakfast order. Though Martha tried her best to make me comfortable, it didn't fully make up for the inadequate attention from other staff members.
Location
7.0
The location is safe and nice, set in beautiful gardens with a pool. However, it felt a bit isolated, being a bit far from restaurants and attractions.
Dining
5.0
Dinner was prompted only when the food arrived, not while ordering. There was a lack of beverages included, and my breakfast was served too early and went cold. I was disappointed that my omelettes didn’t even come with bread.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, with clean rooms and comfortable beds. However, the lack of proper dining options and issues with lighting in the bathroom made my experience less enjoyable.

I had a solid stay at House Higgo, where the modern rooms and beautiful gardens really stood out. However, I was a bit bummed by the breakfast options and the unexpected wedding; it sort of cramped the whole calm vibe I was hoping for.

The Superior Double Room was modern and luxurious, with a comfy bed and a lovely garden view.
Service

The staff were great, especially Klaas, who seemed to be the backbone keeping the place running smoothly.
Location

The breakfast left much to be desired, with limited options and stale food. Definitely room for improvement here.
Facilities

The gardens and pool were well-kept and inviting, though some areas in the accommodation could use a better cleaning.

I was quite disappointed with my stay at House Higgo. While the location and view were great, the overall state of the place was very dilapidated, which detracted from the experience. The facilities could definitely use some maintenance to improve the ambiance.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in had some issues like broken furniture, rising damp, and quite small double bed. It lacked an air conditioner, making it a bit uncomfortable during my stay.
Service
5.0
The staff were professional and accommodating when I arrived late. However, there seemed to be only one person keeping everything together, which highlighted the place’s shortcomings.
Location
5.0
The location is quite nice and safe, being close to a beautiful shopping mall. It’s good for peace and quiet but a bit far from restaurants and attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was particularly unimpressive, being pre-prepared and reheated with no options for drinks or cereal. This left much to be desired.
Facilities
5.0
Sadly, the facilities were not well-maintained; the swimming pool was dirty, which was a huge letdown. Overall, the dilapidated state of everything made me question the value for money.
